This Wasn't Possible a Few Years Ago: Asian Beauty Finally Hits Australian Shelves
If you had told me a few years ago that I would be picking up Japanese, Korean and Chinese cosmetics in an actual store in Brisbane — not waiting weeks for international shipping — I would not have believed you. But that is exactly what this Short celebrates.
What Has Changed
Asian beauty brands have properly arrived in Australia. A big new store opened right in Brisbane city, and walking those aisles honestly made my heart sing. When I first moved here, the selection was tiny; now the shelves grow every time I visit, and I think this is only the beginning.
A Few Honest Notes
Prices are a little higher than buying in Japan — that is the reality of importing, and to me it is worth it for the convenience of swatching in person. And plenty of brands still have not made the trip over, so I will keep sharing the standouts as they land.
Tell Me What to Test
This is where you come in: if there is a J-beauty or K-beauty product you have been curious about, leave a comment on the Short and I will happily put it through its paces.
Brisbane beauty lovers — we are finally spoiled for choice. Enjoy it!
